Terms of Use
Last updated: 21 August 2026
These terms cover the use of Workbench, the collection of free browser-based file tools at convertpro.eu. They are deliberately short, because the service is simple: there is no account, no payment, and no files you submit to the conversion tools are held on our servers. The privacy policy covers what the site does record, such as ordinary hosting logs. Using the site means you accept what follows.
1. What the service is
Workbench provides tools that convert image formats, merge PDF documents, and build PDFs from images, together with written guides about those subjects. The tools are free to use and require no registration.
2. The service is provided as it is
The tools are offered as they are, without any promise that they will suit a particular purpose, be available without interruption, or be free of faults. We build and maintain the site carefully and fix problems when we learn of them, but a free tool running in your browser cannot come with guarantees attached, and we would rather say so plainly than imply otherwise.
3. Processing happens in your browser
The tools run on your own device. Your files are not uploaded to our servers, which means we cannot see them, cannot recover them, and cannot help retrieve a result you did not save before closing the tab. Anything produced by a tool exists only in your browser until you download it. The privacy policy describes this in more detail.
4. Your files remain yours, and remain your responsibility
You keep whatever rights you already have in the files you process. We claim nothing over them.
In return, you are responsible for the files you use the tools on. Please make sure you are entitled to process them, and keep your own copies of anything that matters. Conversion involves creating a new file from an existing one, and while the tools do not modify or delete your originals, keeping a backup before doing anything important with a document is sound practice generally.
5. No guarantee that every file will process successfully
File formats vary more than they appear to, and some files will not work. A damaged or partly downloaded file, an unusual variant of a format, an encrypted PDF, or a file too large for your device's available memory can each cause a tool to stop with an error or to produce a result that is not what you expected.
Because of this, please check the output before relying on it — particularly before sending a document to someone else, submitting it, or deleting an original. Each tool page lists the specific limitations of that tool and the errors it can produce.
6. Using the site lawfully
Please use the tools for lawful purposes, and only on files you have the right to process. Please also do not attempt to disrupt the site or the systems that serve it, or to interfere with other people's use of it.
Because processing happens on your own device, we have no visibility of what you convert and no ability to inspect or moderate it. Responsibility for the lawfulness of what you do with the tools rests with you.
7. The site's own content
The name Workbench, the design of these pages, the written guides, and the code that makes the tools work are ours, and are protected by copyright and related rights. You are welcome to use the tools, link to any page, and quote briefly from the guides with attribution. Please do not copy the site wholesale or republish its content as your own.
Some parts of the site rely on third-party open-source software, which remains subject to its own licence.
8. Things we depend on
The site uses external resources that we do not run: web fonts from Google Fonts. The open-source PDF libraries used by the PDF tools are served from this site. If an external service is unavailable, blocked by a network, or changed by its provider, parts of the site may stop working until the problem is resolved. Your browser and its capabilities also affect what the tools can do.
9. Limits of our responsibility
We take reasonable care with the site, but there are limits to what can fairly be expected of a free service. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss or damage arising from the use of the tools — for example lost files, a conversion that did not produce the result you wanted, time spent redoing work, or the unavailability of the site.
Nothing here is intended to exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Changes to the service and to these terms
The site is actively developed. Tools may be added, changed, or withdrawn, and pages may be rewritten as we learn that something was unclear or inaccurate. We may also update these terms, in which case the revised date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the updated terms.
The site may display advertising in future to cover its running costs. That would not change how the tools process your files.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms, or about anything on the site, can go to hello@convertpro.eu, or through the contact page. If you think something here is unclear or unfair, we would like to hear about it.
A note on scope
This page is written in plain language for a small free utility. It is not legal advice. How data is handled is covered separately in the privacy policy.
